By default, it is set to January 1st, but you can change it to any other month if you prefer. You can also set the “End Date” if you wish. The calendar will always display a full year, but the “End Date” controls the conditional formatting and highlighting. All days between the “Start Date” and “End Date” will be highlighted in yellow in both the full-size and mini-calendar.

How to Write on a New Line in a Cell
When using our calendar templates, it can be useful to write multiple lines of events or tasks in a single cell. To do this, follow these simple steps:
- While editing a cell (with the blinking cursor), press Ctrl + Enter on your keyboard.
- Google Sheets will move the cursor to the next line within the same cell.
- You can now continue typing on the new line. Repeat the process for as many lines as needed.
For example, if you want to list two events on the same day within the same cell and have each event on its own line, type “Event 1” and, while the cell is still in edit mode (before pressing “Enter”), hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, then press Enter.
